This winter, don't get stranded without the items in your car that may help you get on your way or at least keep you safe and warm.

Jumper cables

Flashlight with extra batteries

Flares

Water and non-perishable snacks containing protein (nuts, energy bars)

Disposable hand warmers

Ice scraper and shovel

Emergency radio

First aid kit

Portable cell phone charger

Blankets or sleeping bags

Sand or kitty litter for traction

Warm clothing - hat, gloves, jacket and boots

Ready.gov says " be prepared for an emergency by keeping your gas tank full and if you find yourself stranded, be safe and stay in your car, put on your flashers, call for help and wait until it arrives".
